Welcome back Tantallon Senior Elementary families!

I hope that you all have had a tremendous summer. Our administrative team and staff have been busy preparing for the first day of school on Wednesday September the 5th.  A few notes for opening day:

1. Please make sure you have signed up for BusPlanner to identify the am and pm bus numbers your child will be travelling on and their stop locations .You can use the following link to access BusPlanner:  https://www.hrce.ca/news/2018/07/03/busplanner-open-registration
2. Stock has implemented a new rule that schools are no longer allowed to accept bus notes requesting students to take a different bus to and from school.  Bus drivers will have manifests and only those students listed on the manifest will be allowed to travel on that bus.
3. On Wednesday morning, our grade three students will gather on the basketball court behind the school and will meet their new teachers there.  The teachers will all be holding signs to help identify themselves to students.  Students in grades four to six will gather and meet their teachers on the playing field behind the school.  They will also have signs identifying themselves to students.
4. If we encounter inclement weather on Wednesday morning, we will be asking the grade four to six students to go to directly to their homerooms when they arrive to school.  The grade three students will gather in the gym when they arrive to meet with their teachers there. We will have extra staff on hand helping students find their correct locations. Cross your fingers for sun!

Please be conscientious that our parking lot is always extremely busy, especially on opening day. It is important to mention that there are no parking spaces for parents/guardians. Parents/Guardians can drop their children off at the front of the school.  We will have staff directing our students on where they need to go that morning.
